A well-loved Venetian event that the B&B Ai Tre Ponti & Al Rio Nuovo highly recommends is the traditional Festa del Redentore.
On the third Saturday evening in July, traditional and festively decorated boats convene in the Giudecca canal forming an enchanting bridge that lets you cross from shore to shore while an exciting fireworks display lights up St. Mark's basin to re-evoke Venice's liberation from the 1576 plague.
Sunday includes a pilgrimage to the Redentore Church, where the city is blessed, and a gondola regatta.
